The Key to Working Less and Making MoreWho doesn’t want to work less hours every week and make more money at the same time? The truth is that you can read all the time management books and tips in the world and try to get a raise or start your own business, but there is only principal that you really need to harness. This is that if you want to work less, or make more money, or both you need to increase the value of every hour that you put in. After all how is it that some entrepreneurs are able to build $10 million dollar plus revenues in while putting in less than 10 hours per week? Whatever it is that you do you can start making more money right away by demanding more for your time. Of course if you are still stuck in a corporate there is probably only so far you can go. Though as a independent executive or by starting your own business you income potential is limitless. You can of course increase you income by getting more done each day by improving your time management. However unless you increase what you are worth you will still be very limited. By positioning yourself as an expert and building a better brand you can instantly begin charging for more your time. Even jumping from $10 to $20 an hour is very easy. This means either doubling your income or being able to work half as much. Still if you are always trading your own time for money you will always be limited to the number of hours in a day and days in a week. True, you have the same number of hours in your day as Donald Trump, Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerburg. However they all have businesses that work for them, they don’t work for their businesses or brands. This does not mean that you have to build houses, create your own great products or invent a whole new way for people to communicate in order to truly be able to enjoy the free time you so badly desire and make a lot of money. However it does mean creating or at least using a business model that will work for you and leverage your time so that you only have to be involved at the very top tier. Even better, why not a business that doesn’t actually need you to do anything except for watching your bank account stack up? Others are doing it every day… Leave a Reply |
